I loving the shabby chic look....

so that is what I went with in my bedroom. But now I plan on using this style in my studio. I love seeing blogs online and seeing the shabby chic look they use. I'm slowly fixing my stuff using this look and I will post pics when I'm done.

Another big score @ Goodwill

About 3 weeks ago I stopped again at my local Goodwill to see if they had anything new. Will lets just say I found another mega load of scrappin' stuff. I didn't even buy it all and I still spent $130. It didn't help me any as I was moving all my stuff to the apartment behind my house. This is going to be my new studio. I dreading the putting everything in it's place. I did not have so much stuff when I moved in 2 years ago. I have a ton of stuff now. yikes!!!! I see a yard sale or selling online in the future. lol!

Finally getting my very own scrap space...

I bought a house 2 yrs ago with my parents. Being that my mom is disabled and my brother is still young. They needed help. So we looked for a house that could some day have space for my mom and me to do crafts in and we found it. It has an apartment at the end of the driveway. But life really got away from us and the apartment turned into the catch all from the day we moved in. Really. So being that our house has one huge master suite and 2 big bedrooms. We didn't bother with it. But last weekend I got fed up having all my scrapping stuff in my bedroom. Granted my room is big. But I don't want to wake up seeing it every morning and the family room was not an option. So I took action last weekend and took 6 huge bags of stuff to Goodwill and today I had my dad helping me. We filled up his truck with tons of holiday stuff and trash. We still have more purging to do, but at least half of the apartment is clean.:thumbup2: Now to start on the other side. I can't wait till it clean and ready to set up. I can finally have space to really spread out my scrapbooking and sewing stuff. Plus at our other property we have a farm table that will be perfect to use for layouts and cutting out patterns. I'm also going to make an area for my mom to sew. She loves to sew and can sew without using a pattern. I like sew also, but sometimes I need to use a pattern. lol!  What I really need to find is a sofa. I want to make a living area for my brother and his friends to use when there here. They can use it for watching tv and play games and I can keep them in here and let my mom rest more. Will post pics when I'm all done. I didn't take befores 'cause who wants to see someones junk.

My big score at my local Goodwill....

First of all, I never thought I would find the scrapbooking stuff I found at my local Goodwill this past week. I'm lucky if I find the dollar stuff that Target sends. Mind you the dollar stuff is usually marked down before my Goodwill gets it. But the "very" nice workers take the prices off sometimes and mark the stuff up to usually .97 or more. But this time someone had donated a huge amount of scrapbooking stuff. Papers, embellies, Primas (yes I said Primas), chipboard and more. Little did I know that they had put out all these goodies on Friday (4/30) and Sat. (5/1). Saturday was half price day at my local Goodwill so I didn't go. It's usually to crowded. But just by chance I stopped by the following day Sun. (5/2) to see if they had any vintage stuff I could use for my mini albums. I was walking by the linens and stuff was hanging from the top of the racks, ready to fall. When I looked up and saw a pack of Cosmo Crickets blackboard chipboard. Oh to my delight, I was so excited. lol! I had found a scrapbook item other than the dollar spot stuff. I looked it over and found the price.... .99 cents. Whaaattt, that was practically giving it away. I had see it online for $4.99 and up. So I started looking around to see what other goodies I could find. And find I did....Check out the pics in the link below of all the stuff I found Sun. (5/2) and Mon (5/3) when I went back to see if they had put out any more stuff. Also my haul didn't include all the stuff that was donated. There was another lady that took all the larger jars of Primas and some of the other stuff. Crop Chocolate

Crop Chocolate

Just one of the many pretty and yummy looking spools of ribbons they sell. It has 25 yrds. and sells for 12.99. It is suggested retail price of $37.50. So this is a steal. To bad it was sold out for me. :(

Crop Chocolate...

I was watching Youtube one night about a week ago and came across a video of a lady I have a sub. to. She had posted about a haul she had gotten from a website called Crop Chocolate.com. You get items at a great discount. Sometimes up to 70% off. Well I had to check out this website to see what deals I might find and lets just say I signed up right away. There are 2 ways to buy. 1.) the buy now or 2.) a la carte. You leave your item in your cart till the 1st or the 15th of the month. The a la carte is the best options to use because you can get FREE shipping if you buy $60 or more. So if you have $60 in your cart on one of those days and you checkout, you will just pay for your items. This is the best deal. Also you have to be quick. They don't get a lot of the items. Sometimes it can be the they only have 10 in stock and once that item sells out that's it and it's on to the next item. Usually they change any where from 20 mins to a couple of hours. Just depending on how fast the item sells and they go fast. So be quick or you will lose out on that great deal.

What color is hard for you to use?

This is the question that was asked on the 2 Peas message board. Most are saying purple, yellow, and pastel colors. I'm still thinking about what colors I'm have a hard time using. But I could say pastels do seem to be high on the list. I guess it has to do with them being used with babies and such. But if they were to ask what holidays is hard for you to scrap my list would include all of them. I have yet to scrap a holiday layout. I just haven't gotten into scrapping them yet. I can barely get my brain to finish one layout. lol! I think I have Scrapper's ADHD. lol!
